On Saturday night, your favorite blogger (yes, us!!) and our friend Alli hit up the Stoli Hotel event on Houston and West St. to celebrate Vanity Fair.
The music was provided by our homeboy DJ Cassidy - the absolute best DJ in NYC. We hung out with Cassidy and his assistant, Marvin, in the DJ booth for a good portion of the evening.
As we were leaving the event we were confronted by one of our fans, Martha! She was so excited to meet us and we were even more excited to meet her! She said that it was such a coincidence meeting me in person because just this week she came across MICAHJESSE.COM. It’s so exciting when people recognize us from our little ‘ole blog in person and tell us how much they love what we’re doing.
From there we met up with our girlies from OK! Magazine, Shauna Bass and Ali Puliti, at brand spankin’ new hotspot Origine on Spring St. between Lafayette and Crosby.
The place isn’t even open yet and the crowd was totally hot. We love this new spot!
From there, we stopped by Upstairs just down the street for a quick second to say hello to our good friend Matt Levine who had a table with Lizzie Grubman publicist Kelly Brady.
Then, we stopped by Meatpacking district hotspot Tenjune so we could dance the night away. We sat at owner Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum’s table. Well, we didn’t really sit that much:
American Idol hopeful David Archuleta should tell his pops to quit his wacky ways!
His father, Jeff Archuleta, was banned by producers to be at rehearsals for the show.
Jeff demanded phrasing from Sean Kingston’s Beautiful Girls be inserted into David’s rendition of Ben E. King’s Stand By Me last week. The change cost the show additional song-clearance fees.
In an interview with Us Weekly last month, Jeff Archuleta denied that he was a “stage dad” and said he was more a “music consultant” for David. “I’m definitely involved with my son, and I encourage him, but I think that’s a lot different from forcing and threatening.”
A MICAHJESSE.COM reader just snapped this picture from the front row of Pharrell performing at the Kanye West concert at the Nissan Pavillion in DC/MD/VA.
Chris Brown is also in attendance. Chris came out to dance for N.E.R.D.
Authorities are not allowing cameras at this show, so this picture is an exclusive!
Last night we finally went to Justin Timberlake’s restaurant Southern Hospitality on 77th and 2nd in New York City.
Being from the south, we had some expectations for what to expect — and we were totally pleased with our experience!
We ordered the chicken fingers appetizer (with honey mustard and BBQ ranch dressing on the side) and a caesar salad — we weren’t that hungry!
But it was delicious. And our waitress was not only gorgeous but totally sweet and chill. We loved her!
Totally recommend checking out Southern Hospitality next time you’re out!
Oh — we didn’t mention — they have a DJ that sets up around 11:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. He plays a mixture of hip hop and good radio tracks. Great dance remixes too!
Chris “Leave Britney Alone” Crocker is back with a new - very controversial - video featuring himself (or…herself…or whatever) making our with drag queen extraordinare and MySpace celebrityJeffree Star.
Spencer Pratt (boyfriend of newly plastic-ized Heidi Montag) talks butt sex with Radar Online:
Radar: YO SPENCER! How long do you have to date someone before it’s appropriate to bring up the possibility of anal sex?
SP: If you’re dating a guy, right away. If you’re dating girl, I think you’ll know pretty quick if she’s into that. If they’re not bringing it up, it’s not something on their agenda. That’s just realistic. My boxing coach Dirty Phi says, “If you stick your pinkie in there, and then another finger, and then another, and she responds happily, then it’s cool.”
